Knitting from the toe up

I have decided to knit the pink socks from the toe up.

Since it is my first time, I must admit that it is a slow but interesting process. I have been researching toe-up socks for a couple of weeks, reading patterns and trying to understand it all, but it wasn’t before I actually cast on some stitches last night that I got it. It wasn’t as hard as I thought.

If you want to try, I recommend this wonderful cast-on method. It is called the magical cast on and is perfect when you try toe-up knitting.

I will post updates when I get to the heel, and if I actually manage to knit a pair of socks toe-up I will write some basic instructions and post pictures.
